Hello parents and Div 02 students,
We had an awesome week of learning at Queneesh and we covered a lot of stuff. Here is a recap of the week!
This week we covered the following topics:
Math- experimental and theoretical probability, data management and graphing. We are currently learning how to analyze and graph data. Our focus will be how to use bar graphs, circle graphs, line graphs and scatter plots. Our goal is to end the school year with a solid understanding of mean, median and mode.
LA- we are working towards finishing our ``Cosmic`` novel studies. Your novel study is do next week and you need to return your novel to the library ASAP.
Science/Social Studies- we are currently working on a mini inquiry project. Our focus over the last week has been to develop a good driving question that involves action.
Gym- the students played the following games, capture the flag, ultimate frisbee, camouflage, and bench ball.
Art- we just started to look at the famous artist Ted Harrison. The students also finished their daytime and nighttime Van Gogh scenes.
French- we have been working hard to complete a restaurant menu in French. The project is due next week.
Thanks for a great week. See you all on Monday.

Sunshine:)
Hello parents and div 02 students,
We had another super busy week at Queneesh and unfortunately we are slowly running out of time. Only a few more weeks before summer break!
This week we covered the following topics:
Math- last week we started talking about probability. Today we compared theoretical probability to experimental probability. The students performed a number of experiments to compare the two.
Social Studies- we have had some guests in our class (Doug David, Lynn Swift and Gail Martingale) from our school district curriculum support team teaching us about sympathy, empathy and compassion. We have also looked at early man and how climate impacts us. We learned how to make a climograph this week.
Gym- in gym this week we played the following games: corridor cricket ball, three ball baseball and virus (a tag game).
Science- we started to discuss our final inquiry project and how to develop a driving question.
French- in French we are making a restaurant menu in French.
LA- we are trying to conclude our "Cosmic" novel study and the students were given their last and final novel assignment- "Character Suitcase Assignment." We are hoping to complete the novel by next week.
Art- we have been studying Vincent Van Gogh and we are re-creating a couple of his famous pieces.
