Hello Parents and Students of Div 02,
Thank you for all of your hard work this term. You all deserve a nice long enjoyable break. Report card went home today. Please don't just look at the letter grade, but try to take the time to read the comments and look for ways to make improvements.
This week in room 231 we covered the following concepts:
Math- we continued to use algebraic equations to help us graph data. The students had a graphing challenge. When we come back from break we will start Geometry. Over your break look for geometric shapes around our community and in the real world. Shapes are all around us!
LA- the students continued to practice their Daily 5 and we continued to explore some free verse poetry. We also had our final spelling test.
Gym- we did a combination of gym and outdoor activities.
Leadership- the students came up with positive slogans and placed then in high frequency areas around Queneesh. Take a look at the walls when you are walking down the hallway and you will see some of your child's work! We also did a litter clean up, which targeted the field and woods area. Thanks for helping out guys.
Art- the students made sun-glass frames and filled the lenses with things that they look forward to doing over the break.
Today was a celebration of hard work. The students used their PAT(preferred activity points) points to watch a movie and enjoy a root beer float. Awesome job guys!
Have a safe and enjoyable break. I look forward to seeing all of you in two weeks.
